One of the popular sayings that rings true for me is “The Only Thing That Is Constant Is Change.” Pam and I have the opportunity to move back home. The company I work for has offered a me manufacturing engineering position. While my first love is design because I thoroughly enjoy the creative process I have always wanted to try my hand at manufacturing. Honestly, you need a to bring together a lot of talented people and robust processes to produce a quality product and you can’t forget marketing. This move will also put us close to family which we are excited about.
So what does this mean for BobsCNC? First, we are working to build ahead so that we can maintain RP9 sales throughout the transition. There will be a limited supply of RP9 3D printers, but we have over 2 months of inventory. Second, we are committed to offering the same service as today. I will continue to support my customers by email. I usually respond to emails in less than 24 hours. Once ordered, our kits normally ship out the next day. Folks should not see a difference.
For those that are watching to see if I will ever get the routers ready. I know I am well behind schedule. I have decided to wait until I am setup in the new shop to resume CNC router progress. I hate to even publish a date since I have not been able to deliver on my previous self imposed deadline. I do have a prototype router that I would be able to box up. I also have my demo model that I could get ready to ship. If you are interested in either of these please email me and we can see if we can work something out.
One last note… please keep sending us the feedback. We do enjoy all the positive comments and pictures, and we are interested in getting you up and printing.
