There is a new consumer today, among both the young and old, who grew up and learned to expect that all their meals should be happy ones. They also learned that vitamins and medicines are chewable and taste like candy. They've come to think all products should come in their size and the color they like. They also want a choice between at least five different kinds of the same thing whether cornflakes or toilet paper.
They have been conditioned by retailers to believe that as customers they are always right when in human experience no one is always right, some are never right, and most are usually wrong. As a result, when confronted with a reality that does not conform to their expectations they melt down into a puddle of fussing and complaining.
Is there hope? Is there a cure for this cultural malaise? Yes, it’s as simple as buying a CNC Router Kit from BobsCNC.
"You’ve got to be kidding?"
No, I’m not and I’ll tell you why. Assembling your own CNC Router and learning how to make it run is a life-changing experience. It teaches a number of important life lessons. Lesson One: the importance of reading and following the directions in the assembly manual. When a machine is properly assembled it will cut and carve consistently and accurately to within .002 to .004 inch of a design. If the machine does not function correctly the problem can usually be traced to an oversight in the assembly process, a reinforcement of lesson one.
Lesson Two: complex tasks are generally difficult and require hard work. A CNC is not a machine you pop out of a box, plugin, and with a push of a button begin creating masterpieces. The abbreviation, CNC, stands for Computer Numeric Control. Without delving into the evolution of CNC technology, suffice it to say CNCs require an understanding of number lines, axes (as in X, Y, and Z), and 2D and 3D geometry along with a fundamental grasp of Computer-Aided Design and Machining (CAD/CAM).
Lesson Three: In the world of computer technology there’s a concept abbreviated, G.I.G.O. which stands for “garbage-in, garbage-out”. Amazingly, life works the same way, you will only get out of life what you are willing to put into it. This also requires a good measure of stick-to-itiveness (sometimes mistaken for stubbornness).
These are the lessons that great minds throughout the ages have understood and practiced. Buy a CNC Router from BobsCNC and “Release Your Creativity.”
