New concept is coming together nicely. X and Y are running and Z is close to being complete. The router is connected to an Arduino running GRBL. The computer is using Grbl-Panel. All in all I am satisfied with the performance. The machine is only running 12 VDC with 4 DRV8825 drivers. The plan is to write more G-code this week to make the last few parts. I will try to get some good pictures and videos as soon as it becomes usable.

After building and testing the prototype router I have decided to make some changes. I will be going to a dual X drive. I know this adds a stepper motor, driver, and ACME rod, but I believe the benefits of a rigid gantry make it worth it. This also allows for easier manufacturing for the front and back plates, and the electronics can be placed underneath the spoil-board since the ACME rods are now outboard. The solid modeling is complete, and I am currently writing the G-code for the new pieces. Pictures will come as soon as I get the new router made and assembled.
